Living independently at home is something most of us would like to do for as long as possible. However, there are times when we may need a little extra support with our day-to-day tasks including personal care, managing medication, support with cooking and meal preparation and completing general household tasks. Plan-It Homecare can support with any tasks that may need completing whilst encouraging individuals to remain as independent as possible within their own means. We can provide calls to suit your individual requirements and can offer up to 4 calls per day if needed.

Live-in carers can be provided to those individuals who wish to remain in their own homes but require a higher level of support than domiciliary care can offer. Live in carers offer full support in all areas of daily life such as personal care, meal preparation, general day-to-day tasks and companionship whilst living at the client’s house with them. Live in carers also support clients with medical and other regular appointments. They encourage them to continue with their hobbies and interests or access new ones, and where possible take clients out. This encourages integration and socialisation within their wider communities. We are able to provide both sleep-in night care or waking night care as part of the live in package.

Sitting services provide respite for main carers who are providing care for individuals, these are often spouses, relatives, or friends. We at Plan-It homecare understand that caring for someone can sometimes be challenging, difficult and emotional for all those involved. It can be helpful for the main carer to be able to have some time away from their caring responsibilities from time to time. Our sitting services can help with this and can provide a fully trained and experienced individual who can assist with all aspects of care required. They will provide companionship for the client and peace of mind for the family.

Sometimes care needs will require more than one carer to support an individual. Here at Plan-It Homecare we understand this and provide company vehicles to carry both carers together for these calls. This ensures that the carers always arrive together meaning that clients are not left waiting for the second carer to arrive.
